Simple and easy snack recipe:
Egg putpies
Required ingredients:
For stuffing:
Onion - 1 number
Green chilli - 1/2 no.
Ginger - a small piece
Coriander leaves - one cup
Pepper powder -1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder -1/2 teaspoon
Boiled eggs white portion -2 no.
Oil -required
Salt - as per taste
For dough:
Maida flour -1/2 cup
Rice flour -1 teaspoon
Water -required quantity
Oil -1 teaspoon
Procedure :
1. On the stove
2. Keep a pan
4. Then add finely chopped onion and toast well
5. After the onion turns golden brown put chopped green chilli, finely chopped ginger, finely chopped coriander leaves and turmeric powder to it.
6. Then add boiled and finely chopped egg white to it and toast well.
7. Then finally sprinkle the pepper powder and mix well.
8. Off the stove and transfer the mixture in a bowl.
9. Now the stuff is ready.
For preparing the dough :
1. Take a bowl and put 1/2 cup of maida flour
2. Then add 1 teaspoon of rice flour to it.
3. Add salt for taste.
4. Then pour water,oil and kneed the dough gently.
5. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
6. Make it into small balls.
Now, take one maida ball and roll it like a chappati then keep the stuff inside it and gently close it using water or by pressing the edges.
Then on the stove keep a fry pan pour oil and put the stuffed poori in it and deep fry till it turns golden brown.
